Whenever a TV show is done, you’re always wondering what other kind of projects those actors you become a fan of, will take next. Michelle Dockery known for starring in Downton Abbey, will be seen in TNT’s upcoming drama GOOD BEHAVIOR.

Just recently, the network had their panel at this year’s Television Critics Association summer tour, and Dockery took part to talk all about it.

“DOWNTON was coming to an end and this script came to me and I fell in love with the character and the story. I was very fortunate that something so different from what I had been doing the las six years came my way.”

Actors always tend to challenge themselves whenever it comes to roles. They also want to try to tell the best stories that they can whenever a project comes their way, often times wanting to distance themselves from the last thing they did. A TV critic asked that Dockery’s Lady Mary would not describe her lover as “having a huge cock”, something that Letty does admit in the pilot.

“I’ve had the opportunity to play two very strong female characters and there are some parallels. It’s just a very different period; one happens to be in the 20s and the other in modern day. Letty is an extraordinary character, colorful, and raw, and fascinating to play, and I’m loving every minute of it. I hope it continues.”

According to Dockery, characters that are not likeable are the best characters to play.

“I don’t think they need to be likeable to like them. Some of the best characters don’t always behave well. Letty finds it hard to exist as other people do. She gets bored easily and the dressing up part of it, and becoming another character is the high, fooling people. It’s a messed up love story in a conventional love story.”

Adapted by Chad Hodge (Wayward Pines)  from the Letty Dobesh books by Blake Crouch, GOOD BEHAVIOR is a seductive thriller that follows Letty (Dockery), a thief and con artist whose life is always one wrong turn, or one bad decision from implosion– which is exactly how she likes it. Fresh out of prison, Letty tries to stay afloat; reunite with her 10-year-old son, who is currently being raised by her mother Estelle (Lusia Straus); and regularly sees her substance-abuse counselor, Christian (Terry Kinney), whose motives for helping her are questionable. Chaos returns to Letty’s life when she overhears a hitman (Juan Diego Botto) being hired to kill a man’s wife, and sets out to derail the job. She soon finds herself on a collision course with the killer, entangling both of them in a dangerously captivating relationship.

Good Behavior is executive produced by writer/showrunner Chad Hodge and author Blake Crouch, along with executive producers Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements of Tomorrow Studios, a partnership between ITV Studios and Marty Adelstein. The pilot is directed by Charlotte Sieling.

GOOD BEHAVIOR will have 10-episodes and premieres on Tuesday, November 15 at 9PM ET/PT on TNT.
