Pacific Rim Uprising

Universal Pictures and Legendary have announced that PACIFIC RIM: UPRISING have been moved from February 23, 2018 to Friday, March 23, 2018.

It’s been ten years since The Battle of the Breach and the oceans are still, but restless. Vindicated by the victory at the Breach, the Jaeger program has evolved into the most powerful global defense force in human history. The PPDC now calls upon the best and brightest to rise up and become the next generation of heroes. When the Kaiju threat returns, we will be ready.

Formerly titled Pacific Rim: Maelstrom, Uprising stars John Boyega, Scott Eastwood, Jing Tian, Wesley Wong, Lily Ji, Lan Yingying, Qian Yongchen, Zhang Jin, and newcomers Cailee Spaeny and Chen Zitong.

Directed by Steven S. DeKnight, and based on the universe created by genre film culture innovator Guillermo Del Toro and Travis Beacham in the 2013 film Pacific Rim. Thomas Tull, Mary Parent, Jon Jashni and Del Toro produce alongside Boyega and Femi Oguns under their Upper Room Productions banner. Cale Boyter and Eric McLeod executive produce.

Pacific Rim: Uprising hits theaters in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D on March 23, 2017.
