Mark Wahlberg in Talks For ‘TRIPLE FRONTIER’

July 27, 2017

Mark Wahlberg is currently in talks to replace Ben Affleck in Netflix’s upcoming TRIPLE FRONTIER film. In addition, it seems that Charlie Hunnam, Garrett Hedlund and Pedro Pascal are in talks as well.

Triple Frontier has been quite a tricky project. Back in April, Tom Hardy and Channing Tatum left the project and Paramount pulled out. Affleck has been in talks for the role since then. Mahershala Ali was also set to star. J.C Chandor is set to direct.

At one point, director Kathryn Bigelow was set to direct the project after The Hurt Locker as Triple Frontier is written by Mark Boal. The story is set in the notorious border zone between Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil where the Igazu and Panama rivers converge– making “la triple frontera” difficult to monitor and a haven for organized crime.

Among other stars that have been attached inlcudes Johnny Depp, Tom Hanks and Will Smith.

Production is set to begin in August in Hawaii and Columbia.
