Check out the first trailer for the upcoming indie drama A BOY CALLED PO, starring Christopher Gorham, which can be seen down below!

Gorham plays David, a widowed father struggling to raise a son with autism. He only wants the best for his sixth-grader, but every day is a struggle as young Patrick (Julian Feder) who Dad calls Po– acts out, is bullied at school and often lives in an imaginary world he calls the Land of Color.

The boy is a math wiz and reads the Wall Street Journal, but he is withdrawing into his own world after the cancer death of his mom, with whom he was very close. And David is close to losing his high pressure job. When a therapist (Brian George) talks about a residential treatment, and a young girl named Amelia (Caitlin Carmichael) and a woman named Amy (Kaitlin Doubleday) enter the father and son’s lives and help both in their struggles.

John Asher directs from a script by Colin Goldman and Steve C. Roberts.

A Boy Called Po will be released in domestic theaters and on digital platforms on September 1.
