Mad Men star Christina Hendricks will lead NBC’s upcoming drama series GOOD GIRLS. The role originally was going to be played by Kathleen Rose Perkins, but was recast. The pilot will reshoot with Hendricks.

Hendricks is joined alongside Mae Whitman, Retta, Reno Wilson, Manny Montana, Lidya Jewett, Izzy Stannard, and Matthew Lillard.

GOOD GIRLS revolves around three suburban moms (Hendricks, Whitman and Retta) who are having trouble with money and decide to rob the local supermarket at (toy) gunpoint. The manager sees one of them and they end up with far more than they expected, making things rather difficult. The show is described as a comedy-infused drama that mixes a little of Thelma & Louise with Breaking Bad.

Created by Shondaland alum Jenna Bans, who will also executive produce alongside Jeannine Renshaw and Dean Parisot. Parisot will direct the pilot.

GOOD GIRLS is set for a midseason debut.
