Filming has wrapped on Universal Pictures’ JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM. Both director J.A Bayona and producer Frank Marshall tweeted about it on their accounts. Filming took place in England and Hawaii.

With all the adventure and thrills synonymous with one of the most popular and successful franchises in cinema history, this all-new motion-picture event sees the return of favorite characters and dinosaurs—along with new breeds more awe-inspiring and terrifying than ever before. Welcome to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

Featuring the return of Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard alongside newcomers Toby Jones, Daniella Pineda, Justice Smith, and Rafe Spall. Jeff Goldblum is also confirmed to reprise his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm.

Frank Marshall and Steven Spielberg return as producers, with J.A Bayona directing from a script by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly.

Trevorrow confirmed that the quote from the original Jurassic Park film inspired their idea for the sequel, which comes from Sam Neil’s Alan Grant:

“Dinosaurs and man, two species separated by 65 million years of evolution have just been suddenly thrown back into the mix together. How can we possibly have the slightest idea what to expect?”

Jurassic World 2 hits theaters on June 22, 2018.
