Ahead of his Castlevania series premiere this Friday, producer Adi Shankar has written on his Facebook to reveal that he will produce an anime series of ASSASSIN’S CREED.

Last year, it was revealed that Ubisoft was in talks with Netflix to create a new series, and later it was revealed that they were walking on a series. From the looks of it, it seems like Shankar’s anime could also end up on Netflix, though it has yet to be confirmed.

In 2016, a live-action film version was released starring Michael Fassbender as 21st century criminal Callum Lynch and his ancestor Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Directed by Justin Kurrzel, the film managed to bring in $240 million at the global box office to poor reviews.

A new game in the franchise, Assassin’s Creed Origins will be released, as it takes the character back to ancient Egypt. It will arrive on Xbox One, PS4 and PC October 27.
