The movie adapted four of the storylines from the comics and features stars like Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, Powers Boothe, Rosario Dawson, Benicio Del Toro, Michael Clarke Duncan, Clive Owen, Rutger Hauer, Brittany Murphy, Elijah Wood, and Mickey Rourke. Upon its release it brought $158 million at the global box office. The sequel, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For was released in 2014.
