The Florida Project

A24 has acquired THE FLORIDA PROJECT after its screening at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

Directed by Sean Baker (Tangerine), the film is set during a Florida summer break and follows 6-year-old and her friends as they create the own magic in the shadow of Walt Disney World.

Baker co-wrote the script with Chris Bergoch. Starring Willem Dafoe, newcomers Brooklyn Prince, Valeria Cotto and Bria Vinaite.

Baker and Bergogh produce alongside Kevin Chinoy, Andrew Duncan, Alex Saks, Francesca Silvestri and Shih-Ching Tsou.

After its premiere in the Directors’ Fortnight, The Florida Project garnered critical appraise from critics. So it’s no wonder why A24 beat Neon and Amazon to acquire the film.
