‘RESIDENT EVIL’ Movies Will Get a Reboot

German production company Constantin Film’s Martin Moszkowicz has revealed during the Cannes Film Festival that The Resident Evil movies will get a reboot. A director, stars and how the reboot details are being kept under wraps.

The last feature Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and starring his wife Milla Jovovich earned a $26.8 million domestically, $285.4 million international and $160 million from China. Under a $40 million budget, the sixth film was distributed by Sony’s Screen Gems and earned $312.2 million worldwide.

Based on Capson’s hugely popular video games, the film stars Milla Jovovich as Alice, Ali Larter as Claire Redfield, Iain Glen as Dr. Alexander Isaacs, Shawn Roberts as Albert Wesker, Ruby Rose as Abigail, Eoin Macken as Doc, William Levy as Christian, Frames James as Michael and Japanese model and TV personality Role as Cobalt.
