FOX Orders Drama Series ‘911’ From Ryan Murphy

FOX has given a 13-episode straight-to-series order for Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s upcoming 911 series, which is set to star Angela Bassett, who re-teams with the duo hit anthology series’ creators.

From 20th Century FOX TV, written and executive produced by Murphy and Falchuk, it is said to revolve in the vein of ER and revolves around 911 operators. Bassett is also executive producing.

The series is being targeted for a midseason launch.

Murphy and Falchuk are behind other hits like American Horror Story, Glee and Scream Queens, both co-created with Ian Brennan. In addition to AHS, Murphy has breakout franchise American Crime Story, which launched with the Emmy-winning The People V. O.J Simpson, as well as Feud, and an upcoming 1980s New York drama series Pose.
