FOX has officially cancelled their supernatural drama series SLEEPY HOLLOW after four seasons.

SLEEPY HOLLOW was inspired by Washington Irving’s story and had been on the bubble for this second consecutive year. Also, the show was moved to Friday through Season 3 and the remaining for its Season 4, and has been battling with ratings.

Gary Newman, FOX Chairman said:

“Bringing a show out on Friday night is tough. We love the show, we think the storytelling has always been incredibly inventive, and Ichabod is fantastic.”

During its 13-episode fourth season the show average a 3.2 million viewers, which is quite modest.

From 20th Century TV and K/O Paper Products, the series was created by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Phillip Iscove and Len Wiseman.

Starring Tom Mason as Ichabod Crane, Lyndie Greenwood, Lance Gross and Jessica Camacho.

In addition, FOX also announced they’ve cancelled drama series Rosewood after two seasons.
