STARZ has released the opening titles for their highly anticipated original series adaption, AMERICAN GODS, which can be seen down below! The titled were created by Elastic and fans can now officially see the main titles of the show!

Co-Showrruners and Executive Producers Bryan Fuller and Michael Green said:

“It is strange to want action figures from a main title sequence? Crucified astronauts, neon cowboys and S&M centaurs, we bow to Elastic and their spectacular vision. A totem of godly visions we didn’t know we needed to worship until they showed us the light with this clarion call to the AMERICAN GODS.

Starring Ricky Whittle as Shadow Moon, Ian McShane as Mr. Wednesday, Emily Browning as Laura Moon, Pablo Schreiber as Mad Sweeney, Yetide Badaki as Bilquis, Bruce Langley as Technical Boy, Crispin Glover as Mr. World, and Jonathan Tucker as Low Key Lyesmith. Also appearing are Cloris Leachman, Peter Stormare, Chris Obi, Gillian Anderson as Media, Mousa Crash, Orlando Jones as Mr. Nancy and Kristin Chenoweth as Easter.

AMERICAN GODS posits a war brewing between old and new gods: the traditional gods of mythological roots from around the world steadily losing believers to an upstart pantheon of gods reflecting society’s modern love of money, technology, media, celebrity and drugs. Its protagonist, Shadow Moon, is an ex-con who becomes bodyguard and traveling partner to Mr. Wednesday, a conman but in reality one of the older gods, on a cross-country mission to gather his forces in preparation to battle the new deities.

Produced by FremantleMedia North America. Bryan Fuller and Michael Green serve as writers and show runners. David Slade directs the pilot and additional episodes. FMNA’s Craig Cegielski and Stefanie Berk executive produce the series along with Fuller, Green, Slade and Neil Gaiman.

The first season of eight episodes premieres on Sunday, April 30th at 9PM ET/PT.
