The Full Trailer For Netflix’s ‘DEAR WHITE PEOPLE’ Series

April 13, 2017

Check out the first full trailer that Netflix has released for their half-hour comedy series DEAR WHITE PEOPLE, which can be seen down below!

Based on Justin Simien’s acclaimed debut indie feature of the same name, the series is set among a diverse group of students of color as they navigate a predominantly white Ivy League college where racial tensions are often swept under the rug. DEAR WHITE PEOPLE is a sendup of “post-racial” America that also weaves a unique story about forging one’s own unique path.

Brandon P. Tell reprises his role from the film as Troy Fairbanks, a political science student campaigning to become the first black student president. He’s joined alongside Logan Browning, Antoinette Robertson, DeRon Horton, John Patrick Amedori and Ashley Blaine Featherson.

The series is produced by Lionsgate, whose sister company Roadside Attractions released the original film back in 2014.

DEAR WHITE PEOPLE premieres on the streaming site on Friday, April 28.
