Oscar Isaac to Star & Produce ‘OPERATION FINALE’
Oscar Isaac is set to star and produce OPERATION FINALE for MGM and director Chris Weitz. This project is about the hunt for one of the most hated men of WWII.
Operation Finale is about a group of Israeli spies who work to track down the notorious Nazi general Adolf Eichmann in Argentina in the 1960s so he can stand trial for his war crimes in Israel. The film is based on a true story. Isaac would play the determined wily Peter Malkin, an Israeli Mossad, who holds a deep hatred for the Nazis after they murdered his sister and her children. He has a particular obsession for nailing Eichmann.
Written by Matthew Orton, it is said to be very much of Argo and Munich. Automatik’s Brian Kavanagh-Jones and Fred Berger, Isaac and Inspire Entertainment’s Jason Spire will produce. Matt Charman will executive produce.
Production begins this fall in Argentina.
Isaac can be seen in The Promise, the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Suburbicon. He is also set to hit the stages in Hamlet this summer at the New York’s Public Theatre.
