Director Matt Shankman recently spoke with EW and has revealed that something big is coming for HBO’s GAME OF THRONES season 7. Hint: dragons!

“The dragons this year are the size of 747s. Drogon is the biggest of the bunch– his flame is 30-feet in diameter!”

What is a 747? It’s a plane about 230 feet long with a 210 feet wingspan. You get the picture now, right?

Shankman is one of the directors who will be directing episodes this season alongside Alan Taylor, Jeremy Podeswa, and Mark Mylod.

At the end of season 6, Daenerys’ (Emilia Clarke) dragons and her immense army were finally on the way to Westeros, where Cersei (Lena Headey) is now Queen after the death of her children. The Night King’s (Vladimir Furdik) army is heading south, and a battle appears to be imminent.

Not a lot is known about season 7, only that Winter is coming.

GAME OF THRONES season 7 premieres on July 16 at 9PM ET/PT on HBO.
