Check out the first teaser trailer for Disney-Pixar’s new film COCO, featuring the voices of Gael García Bernal, Anthony Gonzalez, Benjamin Bratt and Renee Victor!

Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz. Despite to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history. Character actress Renée Victor also joins the cast as Abuelita, Miguel’s grandmother.

Directed by Lee Unkrich. Ukrich spoke about the film’s inspiration with Dia De Los Muertos back at the D23 Expo in 2015.

“I’d seen it portrayed in folk art. It was something about the juxtaposition of skeletons with bright, festive colors that captured my imagination. It has led me down a winding path of discovery. And the more I learn about Dia De Los Muertos, the more it affects me deeply.”

Unkrich directs with Adrian Molina, who also wrote the script.

Coco hits theaters on November 22.
