Netflix Renews ‘A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS’ For a Second Season
Netflix has announced that they’ve renewed their freshman show A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS for a second season!
Based on the internationally bestselling series of books by Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler), the series stars Neil Patrick Harris as Lemony Snicket. The series recounts the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans– Violet, Klaus and Sunny– whose evil guardian Count Olaf will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance. The siblings must outsmart Olaf at every turn, foiling his many devious plans and disguises, in order to discover clues to their parents’ mysterious death.
The eight episode first season is a Netflix original production, executive produce by Barry Sonnenfeld and Daniel Handler, and also stars Patrick Warburton as Lemony Snicket, Joan Cusack as Justice Strauss, Malina Weissman as Violet Baudelaire, Louis Hynes as Klaus Baudelaire, Presley Smith as Sunny, Alfre Woodard as Aunt Josephine, Catherine O’Hara as Dr. Orwell, K. Todd Freeman as Mr. Poe, Aasif Maandvi as Uncle Mounty, Don Johnson as Sir and many more.
