Jason Momoa To Star in ‘JUST CAUSE’
Aquaman star himself Jason Momoa will star in the feature film of the video game, JUST CAUSE. Brad Peyton will direct from a script by John Collee.
The Just Cause series began in 2006 and has produced two sequels, with the franchise coming to be known for its open-world game play and highly-destructible environments (with the title taking on a double meaning of both a freedom fighter protagonist and players being able to do whatever they want in-game). Though the game series has three distinct entries in the series, the film will take its cues from the most recent game, Just Cause 3, with Momoa set to play the game’s protagonist Rico Rodriguez.
The game is described as the following:
The Mediterranean republic of Medici is suffering under the brutal control of General Di Ravello, a dictator with an insatiable appetite for power. Enter Rico Rodriguez, a man on a mission to destroy the General’s hold on power by any means necessary. With over 400 square miles of complete freedom from sky to seabed and a huge arsenal of weaponry, gadgets and vehicles, prepare to unleash chaos in the most creative and explosive ways you can imagine.
Momoa is currently filming the solo Aquaman feature film and can be seen as the character this November in Justice League.
