Top 5 Actors For ‘STAR WARS: EPISODE VII’

Casting for the male lead in J.J Abrams highly anticipated film Star Wars: Episode VII is underway and now there’s five top actors in the list.

• Ed Speelers

Best known for his work in Downton Abbey, which he joined in the third season as the first footman Jimmy Kent. Hails from the UK and got his start in his career by playing the title role in Eragon. 

• John Boyega

His first film was in Attack The Block which earned him several awards, including the British Indepedent Film Award for Most Promising Newcomer.

• Jesse Plemons

Best known to American audiences for playing Todd Alquist in the final season of Breaking Bad. He was seen in the full series run of Friday Night Lights as Landry Clarke.

• Matthew James Thomas

British actor who’s made a career in theater. Tony nominated for his work in Pipping and being the alternate for the title role in Broadway’s Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. 

• Ray Fisher

Another theater actor who most recently played the role of boxer Muhammad Ali in the workshop of a play based on the athlete’s life.
