Marcia Gay Harden Joins ‘The Librarian’
Variety reports that Oscar winning actress Marcia Gay Harden has join Juan Feldman’s indie drama film titled The Librarian, playing a mild-mannered librarian trying to start a new life to herself while touring Costa Rica.
The film with a script from Joel Silverman and produced by Classic Films with Mano a Mano Films. The film involves Harden’s character suffering a midlife crisis as she explores Costa Rica with a “lothario and dime-store philosopher” she hired to take her around.
The film will begin filming in Costa Rica in July.
Feldman previously directed a short film called Keepsake and the play Accepting the Pale and has also worked as an assistant director. He said the following about the country where he’ll be shooting his first feature-length film as a director:
“It’s a magical place and one that really does have the natural power to help restore a person. The common greeting there are the words ‘pura vide’– pure life.”
